Nashville Helicopter Charter

Helicopters are among the aircraft Private Jets Nashville arranges for trips to and from Nashville. The types we arrange seat 4 to 8 passengers, with published ranges from 324 to 500 nautical miles. Which one suits your trip depends on the passenger count, the baggage, the distance and the airports at both ends.

Typical Aircraft

The types we arrange in this category are Agusta A109, Bell 407, Bell JetRanger, Bell LongRanger, Eurocopter (Airbus Helicopters) and Sikorsky S-76.

When a Helicopter Fits a Nashville Trip

A helicopter suits a trip around Middle Tennessee measured in minutes, such as a hop to a farm, a lake property or an event venue outside the city, where landing close to the destination matters more than distance.

The aircraft in this category differ more than the label suggests. Cabin size, baggage space and range vary across the 6 types listed above, and the right one depends on how many people are traveling and what is coming with them. Send us the details, and we will narrow the list down for you.

Whether a particular aircraft can use a particular airport on your date is a calculation the operator makes for that weight and that day’s weather, and your advisor will confirm it before anything is booked.

Vetting Behind Every Trip

Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:

  • FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
  • Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates.
  • Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
  • Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.

Nashville-Specific Patterns We Plan Around

Nashville International is the only airport in the Nashville area with customs, so a flight arriving from abroad lands there first. Tower hours shape the rest of the choice. Nashville International is staffed around the clock, John C. Tune from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Smyrna until 10 p.m. on weekdays and 7 p.m. on weekends, so a late departure from either of those two takes a little more planning. Franklin and Brentwood have no airport of their own, and clients there usually fly from Nashville International or John C. Tune. Ramp space at Nashville International gets tight on big event weekends, such as Titans home games, and in spring a line of thunderstorms can hold departures until it passes.
